The usual (but not required) practice though is that the independent counsel does his job with minimal interference from the Department of Justice because of the stink that would ensue otherwise. You are quite correct.
Unfortunately, Biden's entire political history updated hourly and the machine behind him with the quite obvious agenda, provides fair warning to anticipate anything but "the usual".
