I thought that up this morning while watching the news. It occurred to me what Russia is doing is not any different from what Lincoln did.

I'm guessing there was very little actual "thought" involved there.

Just the same knee-jerk reaction you have to every other story that comes your way.

I usually take posts like these, where the poster attacks the OP's character or mental abilities without providing any contextual or supporting facts, figures, or logic, as indicative of the weak position of the attacking poster.

This type of post does nothing to influence the opinions of others.

It didn't take a great deal of thought to see the parallels between what Lincoln did and what Putin is now doing.

A lot of other people see the similarities too, probably because the two events have a lot of similarities.
