7 of my kids were born at home. They didn’t get a birth certificate at all, but at some point we did obtain a document from the state of Indiana (I don’t remember the name) so they could go on a cruise. People who say “you have to have this or that” usually don’t know what the hell they are talking about.

What happened when they went for their drivers licenses, applied to a college, and applied for a job?

How did they prove their age for the driving license?

How did they prove they were born in Indiana for in-state tuition, if they went to an Indiana college?

How did they prove their age and citizenship for the job?

Did the Indiana document suffice for this?

Was this before the draconian ID requirements put in after 9/11?
