You’ve never had stage four cancer. It can be very painful. Relieving that pain may give someone extra strength to heal
How about all the ridiculous families who insist on all means possible on a frail ninety something year old who just wants to be left alone?

You’ve never had stage four cancer. It can be very painful. Relieving that pain may give someone extra strength to heal My wife's best friend died leaving her 2 children and a husband behind due to small cell cancer, unfortunately very familiar with the experience. How about all the ridiculous families who insist on all means possible on a frail ninety something year old who just wants to be left alone? I am not against care and comfort at all, just pointing out the moral dilemma of it, also I support DNRs and do not think it best to force a 90 year old to endure the life saving protocols as they are extremely traumatic. None of this has an easy answer.
