I am also geeking with Flightradar. I find traffic close to home then check the ATC contact on my scanner. Sometime I even grab the binoculars for plane spotting.

My wife doesn't quite understand it but around here we have a Boeing flight test facility and I can spot "one-of-a-kinds" occasionally. Also we live near the Barry Goldwater range and there are plenty of military aircraft to spot.

It’s interesting sometimes to look at the “Most Tracked Flights”. You’ll see U.S. drones frequently flying over Ukraine, and C-17s flying into Poland.
