It is not just the USAF with management problems. Their suppliers are also woke and going downhill fast.

Defense companies are experiencing very high attrition rates exceeding 30% per year. (I know, high attrition rates means people are staying and not leaving, but the human resources industry calls it attrition rates when people leave) The top engineers and production managers are being passed up for promotion for woke demographics like blacks and homosexuals. Defense companies have woke training where it is said every team must have at least one black person on it and it is best if that person is the team lead or manager.

Quality is also suffering. Long story short: Who gives a damn?No one does, as long as woke is followed.

The education issue is also a problem. How can uneducated people do the job? Useless woke degrees. Workers know less and less even though there is the Internet such that they should know more.

Worked for the DoD for 30 years attached to the US Navy in support of aviation maintenance. Back in the early 2000s went to Puerto Rico for a week in support of a navy squadron there.

Right in the middle of all that jet maintenance were US Navy sailors that couldn’t speak a word of English.....WHAT!!??

Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I was in the USAF a long time ago & there was concern about our readiness status then, but not to the extent it seems to be in now. We didn’t try to deal with all the craziness that exists now. There seems to be so much concern now about stuff that doesn’t really matter that there is no time or concern left for things that DO matter...like readiness. Any young people who are of recruitment age are likely to look at this & decide it’s just not worth it. Maybe if we had a real president......???

Reminds me of my years at McAir. We sold F-15s to the Saudis, and they requested that the maintenance manuals be rewritten at the 6th grade level, because the 8th grade level they were written in was too difficult.

They were told "This is the most advanced fighter in the world, find people who can work on it!"
