It’s pretty good. Aside from History’s infatuation with Obama, who is in this, and Clinton, who’s getting a series and was in the Washington one, I’m enjoying it and their docuseries are quite well done. They of course would never include Trump in their documentaries, so that leaves Bush to participate, and I don’t want to,see him.
Well done? Maybe the cinematography. But the history is just more reduction of the war to the simplistic narrative of slavery. Yes, of course slavery was a part of every secession document, but it was so much more complicated than that. We are all dumbed down by films like this. Lincoln was not the saint it depicts.
By including the fake and the traitor in ‘documentaries’ about Lincoln and others, they are silently equating those two with the subject.
