The line is Poland? Well, you said it.
Where have we heard that before...?
Agreed partially on that last, though.
If one listens to some of Putin’s other speeches, it is clear he is playing nuclear blackmail. That was not in the equation in the late 1930’s.
“The line is Poland? Well, you said it.”
They’re a Article 5 NATO member, unfortunately, so if they’re attacked our legislative and executive branches of government will have to sign their paper work to defend Poland.
Also if Poland wants “action” in Ukraine without being attacked, the message should be clear:
“You Polaks are on your own, have fun.”
As for nuclear blackmail, my position is that’s how all major nuclear powers “play the game.” Take our two wars with Iraq & Saddam Hussein. We told him if you use WMD weaponry, we’ll do the same X10. Apparently, he didn’t think we were bluffing because no biological or chemical weapons were used in either conflict.
Russia is a different animal when it comes to nuclear weaponry, but that doesn’t stop the “Munich all the time crowd” from beating the war drums. Russian nuclear weaponry doesn’t scare our warmongers one bit.
“They hacked our democracy, which is an act of war.”(sarcasm)
