Hitler killed himself in the bunker. He was determined to die in Berlin and wouldn’t listen either to any of his general’s or anyone else. He made his mind up to die in Berlin and Eva Braun chose to do the same.

Berlin had never really accepted the Hitler and the Nazis.
It was too cosmopolitan in outlook to have had the fanaticism for the movement that other cities like Munich and Nuremburg had .

I suppose it was Hitler’s way of sticking it to Berliners.

There are a whole lot of Argentinians who are convinced he made his way down there and lived out his life in a large home on the shores of a lake in Patagonia. They'd even take you across the lake to show you the bunker that the Argentinian government destroyed. There were many high level Nazis who lived in Bariloche, including Erich Preibke who ran a school for children a few steps from his home.

I agree. I don’t know if this story is the one where he left in helicopter but that claim is farfetched. There were really none flying at the time. If that had happened it wouldn’t hafe been missed.

Survival stories of notable people are common fantasies, like JFK Jr, D. B. Cooper, etc. Hey, John Denver didn’t die either, he had to go on the run.

There were Nazis who went to South America, that part is true as some of them were hunted down there.
