Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) showed a five-point lead over Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in a hypothetical head-to-head gubernatorial poll from Climate Nexus.
The poll found that 45 percent of the registered Texas voters surveyed said they would vote for Abbott, five percent more than would vote for the Democrat.

I don’t think it’s that.
I think it’s the fact that New Yorkers and Californians are more than willing to take advantage of the lower costs of living, taxes, etc. Eventually, they all seem to start settling in the same places. Once they saturate the place enough, they elect one of their own and begin the destruction and turn, what was once a really nice place to live, into a dem/liberal dump.
Of course, most of the time those places are UBER WHITE and not so diverse. That’s what happens when you can sell your home in one of those places and move down south and buy a house 2x the size, 1/3 the taxes, in a swim/tennis community.
They still carry the disdain for the locals and the originals.

Tesla is moving its operations there. It’s a liberal tech company. More liberals to work in a liberal company.
I’m not saying its going to happen tomorrow.
Right now, there are about 5 Republicans that are pushing amnesty. They will have 100% support from the Democrats. And probably even more support from the Republican side.
What happens then? 10s of millions of illegals are now legal. And guess what? Once legal, they’ll start voting. I’m sure they’ll all be lining up to vote for Abbott and Donald Trump.
But hey, dream on.
Please do not call John Cornyn a Republican. He will and has sold out Texas and the people of this country time and time again.
A statewide office, I thought, was one in which the person holding it was in the State legislature or state government.
I thought the others were federal offices, like US Senator and House.
