I agree, and that was true in 1992.

But not in elections where it’s a man race. If your base stays home (for any reason), they helped the other candidate, and that candidate in 2016 was Skunk Cabbage.

Whether a thing is true or not, is not dependent on qualifiers or attributes.

If it is true in 1992, it is true in 2016.

Failing to support one candidate, does not mean a person supports another. You even agree, in the first part of your reply.
