It is a pretty good job of showing how the media have been the real power in the USA.
Pretty much what I know, except he has different examples.Good job of explaining the history of media manipulation. One reason why I stopped watching almost all forms of “entertainment”.
Even shows which emphasize “personal” space could be used as a way to condition people to want their “personal” items. Hence more sales. Example: Does everyone really need a “personal” computer?
For a more in-depth history of societal manipulation begun by Berneys, watch The Century of Self—4 hour-long videos put out by the BBC (shock!!!!!!).
I learned a lot about societal manipulation—enough that I wondered about my own “self”—and about several presidential campaigns up to the Clinton campaign.
Yes, it is a lot of video time, but I listened to it while doing other things.
