Admittedly, not a fan of Samsung here.
And not talking just about phones, either. At one time, every major high ticket item I bought was from the Samsung corp. We used Galaxies at work in those days but that aside, what with all the hype, there was something slick and snazzy about Samsung so, when it came to replacing the washer/dryer or wide screen TV, Samsung just seemed the way to go. That is, until things started to break down which in quick order all did-just beyond the warranty period, coincidentally-I discovered that, unlike most American companies, these rascals won't stand by their products.
That was a shock so I resolved that you couldn't pay me to ever buy another Samsung anything. Then, time came to get a smart phone. Even though I had used them for my job, I never so much as considered looking at one of the glittering Samsung offerings in spite of the hype and breathless propaganda. For me, it was iPhone sight unseen.

You can't imagine how smart I felt when shortly after my purchase we started to hear the first report of Samsung phones bursting into flames and causing third-degree burns on people's legs and what have you. Finally, they were banned from commercial flights. By then, I was already grateful for the company's wretched customer "service" because it saved me much grief downstream.

LIKE! Your informative post about all things Samsung. fwiw my phone is a Sammy A51 and it does what I need it to do. The A51/ 4g LTE/ not the 5G updated version.

I loved samsung products for decades. I can remember buying a bank of monitors (CRTs) for a tech bench in the 90’s and thinking it was great to have 8 of them available to troubleshoot customer PCs. Years, and TVs, Phones, home theater receivers, Refrigerators, washer, dryer, etc. later, I found out that their internet connected devices spied on their owners and sent the data back to Samsung and other parts unknown. This shit is in my house! WTH!

So now the devices I DO have from them lack internet connections. No wireless, no wired, and when they get replaced with new, they’ll not be Samsung, and they’ll still be unconnected to the internet. There is no need for a smart TV when you have devices like a Roku.
