The springtime decline is underway. The focus of analysis should be the slope of daily deaths. It should be damn near vertical compared with same month 2021, given residual vax immunity, residual prior infection immunity, allegedly mild omicron. But that’s not what we see. It is less steep than last year.
If it conforms to last year, it will shallow out before March is well underway.
