I think within the next 10 to 15 years new cars will have no windshields. Just displays. We'll have display enhancers (radar, lidar, etc) so that a black nite or heavy rain/snowstorm will look like a sunny day.

Of course, you'd have to have some sort of backup if you lost power. The BSOD at 80 mph would also be bad.
