Cyberattacks against multiple targets in Ukraine can also be criminals taking advantage of the situation. They launch multiple attacks against government resources knowing the worries about Russia will cause the government resources to get priority for cyber defense.

Sadly, Americans have no idea what “truth” is, with regards to Ukraine or Russia.
We are constantly subjected to to simplistic, ridiculous, short-term political talking points as well as outright lies on most important political points.
We have watched for 5 years of media lies about Trump and “Russia.”
And now you believe they are telling you the truth?
I’ll start to worry for real when our own internet, etc goes down.
It’s impossible to even know who all the actors are at his moment, and what their next moves will be. Few of us here on FR have the real facts in hand.
Of course, that goes for the vast majority of Americans. There are a few real players and they are operating well behind the curtain.

Yep, invasion tomorrow, and like the 1930s the first Putsch by the new bully in Europe will not be their last and all of the former Soviet Eastern block countries knows it; and many are already planning on taking in refugees from Ukraine. Even always “neutral” Sweden is increasing its defenses and like Finland is talking of closer alignment with NATO.
While Putin is complaining of NATO expansion he is doing all the things that justify NATO expansion.
