Very few people raised in the West could hit someone with a bat. Most likely, they’d threaten with the bat and it would get taken away and used against them. It’s similar to having a gun. If you’re not trained and imbued with the will to use the weapon, then you’ve likely armed your opponent.

Also, your company all the way down to your boss would need to establish they’re behind you and that’s even less likely because of liability. The jump in insurance costs all the way down the employee pyramid would be prohibitive.

BTW, I’m guessing drug use in this instance.
