I wouldn’t find that at all surprising. We are dealing with psychopaths / sociopaths who have been given a taste of the power they lust after. They will not give up that power easily.
You are correct. Same principle applies here in the States. The demonic possessed psychopaths and sociopaths, A/K/A, Democrats in Power here are going to be hard to dislodge.
