It isn't, but don't wait until 2026. In that model year there will be a horde of intrusive electronic add-ons required, including devices to make sure you aren't leaving an infant in the car and one to react to perceived drunk driving. CAFE standards are going up to 50 mpg (forces more hybrids, EVs, CVTs). This is going to be the 21st century version of the late '70s, only much worse.
