I really loved Martin's prose and world-building and am looking for other authors who can fill that void. He set the bar pretty high, though.

Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive series is my favorite ever, even over GoT, but’s it’s also not done yet and won’t be for a while. They are massive books. You could try his Mistborn series to see if you like his writing style - it’s a bit younger target audience and shorter books but very good intro to Sanderson (who also completed the wheel of time series after original author died).

Cradle series by Wight is my second favorite series ever. Unfortunately book 1 is the worst of the series but it’s worth it. And just keeps getting better into book 10 now (out of 14).

I probably have bought and read nearly 1k fantasy books over the last 10-12 years.
