You are buying the Ukrainian propaganda line and sinker. Both Minsk agreements were signed by Ukrainian leaders and made into law by the resolution of the UN security council. According to the Ukrainian Constitution, they are a part of the Ukrainian legal system.
Is Russia going to influence someone or not is a secondarily issue and barely worthwhile. Should the US strip Southwest and Oregon off of electoral rights due to possible Canadian or Mexican influence? Yes or no? Should people in Iowa be fired from government jobs and get banned from customer service for only speaking English, but not the Sioux language? Yes or no? Should Americans be disarmed because they might turn their guns against the government and be prosecuted for being a part of the militia? Yes or no?
This is what Minsk agreements are about. It is a sad day when Russia supports freedom and democracy, whereas the US the tyrannical side of it.
Talk about red herrings! It has nothing to do with Indian languages, or militias, or drinking Molson beer or eating tacos. It has nothing to do with national “electoral rights.”
Russia does NOT want an independent Ukraine. Indeed, Russia has called for Ukraine to be reconstructed as a confederation of autonomous regions, with each region free to chart its own destiny. That is the exact opposite of national “electoral rights,” as there would be no nation of Ukraine!
You say that Russia supports freedom and democracy. What you are really saying is Russia supports freedom and democracy on Russian terms and by Russian definitions. Kind of like the freedom and democracy of the Soviet republics, eh?
