Many, if not most Italian restaurants in Southern California are owned by non-Italians. One that isn't is
Basilico's Pasta e Vino in Huntington Beach. If you eat there, you are not allowed to wear a mask and they do not want anyone who is vaccinated against WuFlu to eat there. Tony Roman, its owner may be running for governor this year.

Where I am, the pizzerias and Italian restaurants are run by the Albanians. Close enough, I suppose. Anyway, the idea that you can’t teach a Dane the techniques and recipes of Chinese cooking is just silly. Sounds more like a leadership problem.

When my ship came into San Pedro there was a true Italian restaurant I loved to go to. It was upscale. The neighborhood changed and they left just about the time I no longer went to that port.
