Screw you. You need to quit poisening the narrative and just die already. We don’t want accomplished, loyal, patriotic fogies in our midst. /sarc

Food and energy inflation is felt by everyone, acutely.
Except the very rich.
This will kill Democrats.

Exactly—old timers like me remember what inflation did to Jimmy Carter.
He was hated by everyone—it was beyond politics.
Every single bill went up and up and up and up—even the dullest of the dull figured out what the problem was....
The technique of blaming Company X or Company Y does not work when all prices are rising for everything...

$5 Friday at Safeway. Tomorrow: Butter - 2 lbs. for $5.00.
Actually got butter a few weeks ago for $.97. Same with Tillamook Ice Cream. These were specials if you are signed up with Safeway 4 U.

Revelation 6:6 New Living Translation (NLT) And I heard a voice from among the four living beings say, “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. And don’t waste the olive oil and wine.”

Apt. gas bill way up....
Me, too. Have an apt. Retired. We’re the poor relations on FR. Inflation destroying our financial lives is not a matter of abstract theory to us.

Putting trillions of new dollars into circulation diluted their value so we need more of them. Politicians should not have any control over the money supply.

Fixed income is a funny term. Most people are on fixed income unless they work by commission.

I’m pretty sure I can stretch my “can of soup with an Italian sausage link” from one meal to two, and I know I can drink more water from my Berkey filter while consuming far fewer recreational beverages. I may be wrong, but I think maybe I was made for difficult times. I suspect I’m about to find out.

Just came back from the grocery. OMG! They’ll need a skyscraper to have room for the inflation in prices.
