North of the border, 8 years earlier a similar but also very different moment. Canada stood still and the moment in a hostile arena in a hostile country happened. No one who lived through it will ever forget. The image below is seared into hockey fans minds in Canada since that day.

When the Red Army Team played the Flyers in Philadelphia, and the Soviets left the ice because the Flyers were being too rough, the crowd started chanting, "They're Going Home! They're Going Home!"
