This is all interesting, but it would be more meaningful if you called a state or two and asked for their daily death count and compare it to what is published. Other guys here on FR have been doing a JHU comparison and they don’t find much variance.

You haven't been paying attention to the countless ways installed to falsely inflate the death count beyond all reason. I am not going to call states and ask for their fake news. Worldometer quotes the CDC. The fake news is determined by the CDC's reporting policies which the states follow in reporting. That's why the JHI comparison doesn't find much variance - both are drinking from the same propaganda poisoned well.
