ATLANTA - A man walking to his car at Lenox Square Mall became the latest armed robbery victim at the luxury shopping center.
The incident happened on a recent weekend during a very busy time when patrons flock to the area for entertainment as well as shopping.
According to an Atlanta Police report, a customer purchased a pair of Jordan sneakers at the Nike store located at the mall's front entrance.
As he walked to his car, two men approached him in a vehicle. One suspect exited the car, pulled out a gun, and demanded the Nike bag and the shopper's wallet.
The gunman took $100 cash from the wallet and quietly returned the billfold.

Based on personal observation, starting when the mall first opened, it ceased being a popular luxury shopping center soon after MARTA opened a subway station close enough to provide quick getaway for shoplifters on foot.
This news should be BREAKING NEWS, except this happens every single day in Atlanta.
Other than food and fuel and pharmacy pick ups, order just about everything else.

The people in Buckhead DESPERATELY want to sever their connections to Atlanta (they’re presently part of that ‘cosmopolitan’ city. But it takes an act of the state government...and guess who’s blocking it - the REPUBLICANS there. The question is WHY?
Avalon in Alpharetta is very nice. The Avenue at West Cobb and The Avenue at East Cobb are good too, and they are all very far away from the Buckhead crime wave.

Now you know why the CDC is so stupid and useless. Its HQ and workforce are in Atlanta, and draw from the local labor pool in a very affirmative action way.
It is not that simple.
The suburbs have done an inexorable northwards march for the ~45 years I have lived in the ATL area.
