That's a neat trick. I've never been able to copy a YT video. :(
I can do it with Snagit...anyone have a link to it?
Camera on the display should provide at least a poor quality copy....
Analog is mot completly dead yet.
There are a number of ways to do it. I have been using a program called Audials for the last ten years. First Never pay full price... it is almost always “on sale” for about $20. It will make a great copy of just about any video stream, YouTube will typically download much faster than real time. It is completely legal in the US because it does not crack the DRM (Digital rights management) but instead records the stream to a different format that you can choose. The copy is typically indistinguishable from the original stream.
They provide frequent free updates for a year or more, and they allow you to put it on 3 computers and also have apps for android. They do hound you to buy their upgrade every year. The improvements are often worth it, but any version in the last several years is pretty darn good. The following link is to a sales price offer.

Used to be able to do it with VLC but i think they are blocking that now. I’ve used winx and I think there are websites that have the software to copy the video and you can save it as mp4. Rumble for sure and i used to be able to just download the yt’s but they stopped you from doing that a while back. I have very much video from charlotte, etc, interesting stuff.
Search for ClipGrab and download it for Windows or OS/X - makes YouTube downloads very easy.
