It’s a data mining operation. They listen in on calls conversations and ‘private messages’ and see what you post. Then sell targeted ads based on where you go on the web and what you say. Instead of a shotgun approach to marketing, sellers can zero in on the target.
it’s also a ton of info for government to track people - political views, network of family and friends, where people travel, etc.
That’s why I quit. The whole business model is built on peoples need to feel wanted. It’s absolutely 1000% a house of cards. Especially with this Meta thing.

As someone said, “If you can’t figure out what the product is for the business, you’re the product!”

While the whole thing is collapsing I would like to see it broken up into independent entities. Sort of like AT&T in the 1980s, or Standard Oil in the early 20th century.
How can this concentration of power be okay under anti-trust laws?
Same goes for Amazon, and Google. If these companies were broken up into many spin-offs I think the world would become a better place.
Admittedly, “a better place” is a pretty low bar.
Your turn....
Good.
DEFUND DEMOCRATS !!!
Woke network gets stabbed nobody cares.
Thanks for the further insight. 👍
