As I keep telling all the people here who said her liberalism is a political death sentence, its not. This is the only kind of R that can get elected in Maine. When she retires that Senate seat is going to a Democrat Communist or another “Independent” who votes 100% with the democrat communists. People who don’t live here have no clue about the nutty politics up here.

If NYC and Boston got nuked, 99% of Mainers wouldn’t know about it for a couple of weeks. The vast majority of Mainers don’t know anything about the world outside their small town except for what their local newspaper reports, which beyond little town news and a few state news stories there aint much else; and they’re proud of that.

Mainers make their decision on whom to vote for based on how much they personally like the candidate. I’ve talked to so many people I know who have very convervative political views yet they vote for Angus King(I) who is a 100% vote for all things democrat communist and thus votes against everything these people believe in politically, and they justify it by claiming “it doesn’t matter what his politics are, I like the guy, when I go to his campaign events to listen to him he always comes up and talks to me personally, I just like him”. Some form of that statement is their justification every time. They simply don’t care that he votes against their interests, they just like him on a personal level and that’s all that matters to them.

That’s what we’re up against here in Maine. Most Maine R’s don’t vote based on policy, they vote on their feelings for the candidate. I don’t know what to say about that but thats the way it is up here and thats based on my personal conversations and observations over the 7 years I’ve lived in Maine.

Most Maine R’s whisper their support when nobody else is listening, if you get my drift. They don’t like the thought of anybody dislikeing them, meaning the lefties, they don’t like and cannot deal with any type of conflict, even just verbal. The R’s in Maine are much the same as the R’s in Wisconsin and Michigan, very wimpy and very fickle.

It used to be that way in the state I live in, Oregon.
You could elect a liberal Republican before Slick Willy came on the scene, but not anymore.
All Republicans are sexist, racist, climate destroyers.

Those are the “big issues” for suburban Karen and her eunuch husband.
