They should just imagine they are in a Roman coliseum, entertaining the masses and pray they aren’t eaten by a lion.
Reminds me of the Fractured Fairy Tales from years ago when
Androcles was cast into an arena with a lion that he had taken the thorn out of it’s paw in the past.
The Lion is so starving hungry but Androcles reminds him of the good deed he had done in the past.

The narrator then reminds everyone that when a Lion says he is your forever friend, remember “He is a lyin!”
