Sorry, while I sympathize with the general aim of the article, the fact is that at this point, you have to factor in the percentage of the population that's vaccinated. If it's greater than 70%, then the vaccinated are doing better than the unvaccinated.
Reports like this and the various articles about Israel seem to work hard to ignore the percentage of the population that's vaccinated.
