This was a direct afront to Christ...when I read the story i felt a sharpness in my spirit.
Ii was remembering the story of Herod being lauded and boastful so an angel of the Lord smote him because he gave not God the glory.
I believe he was merciful with the comediene; Christ seemed to treat women better than the guys in ancient Israel anyway. But given the stories of those times, the men had it coming when Christ would admonish them, the women...maybe not so much admonishment but rather mercy and a gentle push to “go and sin no more!
