Unfortunately some of the common rail units are self-priming.
The mechanical ones, not so much. Pump and purge and diesel runs everywhere. Big mess and hope the batteries don’t die. In this weather and at the hands of an amateur a truck out of diesel with a mechanical fuel pump and injector is destined to become at least a 40,000 lb yard ornament for at least a good while.

Sitting here in Alberta and just wondering what the progressive easterners are trying to accomplish.
We can shut down the fuel at any point…just as they do.
