Even with the shots, you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting shingles. As I found out, the shingles "vaccine" only reduces the symptoms if you get it.

Sound familiar as regards Covid?

BTW, I got shingles last summer, limited to left side of face and scalp. Permanent nerve damage in the forehead, still seeing an ophthalmologist for corneal inflammation in left eye.

Other than that, and getting Covid for the second time about 4 weeks ago, everything's peachy...lol. Nearly recovered, I've been back to work last two weeks.

Rock on! Sorry about the Shingles thing.

And loving your tagline: (Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad! Remember Gonzales! Come and Take It!)

I’m a descendant of Alamo Defender Thomas Miller from Gonzales, Texas and Erastus “Deaf” Smith who fired the first shot at the battle of San Jacinto.

Same here, and post-herpetic neuralgia. Almost lost sight in the affected eye, due iritis.

My tenant had the same affliction—less the eye part.
