My daughter's ex grew up in Hawaii. He said you'd see these things - they called them coconut crabs - all over. They liked trash cans.

I met one of those coconut craps. I was on Tinian driving a moped at night, a little tipsy, when I hit one of those in the road. I wiped out pretty bad but the crab didn’t move, it was solid as a rock.
