Don’t think so. The 8th Army (I believe) came from France across and down Autobahn 8, which runs from Stuttgart (where this is) to Munich. I could be wrong.

This map would say your wrong. Deep red was German controlled on VE Day, pink to orange is allied controlled. Gray is neutral. White is abandoned or partisan controlled. Not much red on the map, but Stuttgart is included as well as parts of Munich. Map is dated May 1, 1945, when the rump Flensberg based government agreed to cease hostilities, though the unconditional surrender wasn't signed until a week late.So, entirely possible that the area you described was conquered in that week. Though it was moot by that point.
