What viagra does is promote the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a molecule that promotes the elasticity of veins and arteries throughout the body. That Elasticity enables more blood to flow through your veins and arteries—and thus more oxygen gets to your cells.

Viagra (as well as cialis)was originally designed as a blood pressure medicine. Viagra lower’s blood pressure. Its just a side effect that viagra also promotes erections. The designers of viagra noticed this side effect back in the early 90’s and realized that they needed to repurpose their blood pressure medicine.

As it is, if you have high blood pressure or you have erectile disfunction—its a good sign that your arteries are hardening. Blood is not flowing properly around your body. Cells are not getting nutrients and oxygen. That’s not a good thing.

The fall off of the body’s youthful production of nitric oxide is just one of the many molecules that decline with age that the body once produced in abundance during youth.

imho most older men AND women should take something to increase their nitric oxide levels when they get older. Citrilline will also increase nitric oxide levels. But it may be a bit more expensive than prescription generic cialis or viagra.
