Ok this is a bit of a change of pace: Vietnam yesterday convincingly beat China in their World Cup lead-up contest.
Vietnam recently had a very good team, but has recently had troubles.
That said, they convincingly beat China. Very good game Vietnam!

It appears China is not invulnerable...
Vietnam is scrappy. They beat back a mongol invasion 2 or 3 times, beat the French, beat the USA, then repelled a Chinese invasion in 1979.
They didn’t beat the USA- we just weren’t fighting to win.
I don’t know what the heck we were doing there.
Thanks for posting the match. Looking forward to World Cup this Fall. Plan to visit U.K. to watch a couple of the the match’s in a pub with some English co-workers. Should be a “Riot”. 😉
The USA won every battle, but lost the War. Saigon is no longer the Capital. But you are correct, you can’t win if you don’t fight to win
