If your phone calls a phone or stays for a certain time in proximity to another phone they have association. The police have all this available to them at all times. They just have to want to look at it. If you go to the police to renew a visa they look to see if your working or if you moved. They tell by your phone.
By the way, your phone also has wechat that has your bank account. It is watched by all the cameras. It has a copy of your figure prints and your face. If you do stuff they don’t like, you lose contact with your own bank account. You can’t travel. Your in jail and they don’t have to do a thing.
