They intentionally killed many diabetics by putting them on a ventilator and Remdesivir for COVID.
Or, people could take responsibility in their decisions.
Why don’t you move to a COMMUNIST country, where they tell you what to eat? LEAVE AMERICANS ALONE! We will eat what we want. “stars & stripes forever” my foot. Food commie!
Yep! The problem is that the Left is forcing us to eat more carbs, since there isn’t much left when you remove fat and protein (meaning meat) from the human diet.
So we’re cornered. The solution is known and understood, but cannot be pushed, as it will lead to more meat consumption and thus destroy the planet, from cows farts.
At the low, low price of $100 / dose.
“Many patients and U.S. lawmakers have expressed outrage at the rising price of insulin, which type 1 diabetes patients must take their entire lives and which is sometimes required to keep type 2 patients’ disease under control.”
See, even the article here gets it wrong. Megadosing insulin does NOT keep the disease under control, it just keeps one SYMPTOM under control, which is blood sugar. All you’ve done is exchange mega-levels of blood sugar for mega-levels of insulin...and I don’t even think anyone has even bothered to study what that does to people.
If GOVERNMENT put the sugar in the food, they can take it out. You must be a DEMOCRAT.
The school nurse at the school I worked at told me last year our district saw the highest enrollment of kindergarteners with diabetes than ever before - Kindergarteners!
My father-in-law died of a diabetes-induced heart attack- but he wouldn’t take care of himself, eat right or exercise - and continued to drink alcohol up until the end.
How many of these deaths are from people who wouldn’t follow their doctor’s advice about lifestyle changes?
Just a silly question, I know. But haven’t the costs of medications and equipment that diabetics need gone way up recently? Is it possible that patients not being able to afford current treatment might, just might, be a big part of these fatalities?
I am curious. Just how does government put sugar in food?
There’s a new class of meds that works quite well (SGLT2 inhibitors) but is quite expensive.
I take Jardiance and it works great with minimal side effects.
You can accomplish a lot of the same results with the old standard of metformin but you need to REALLY do a serious carb reduction in your diet.
Lose weight is the best thing to do. I lost a significant amount of weight in 7 months and all my numbers improved drastically.
Causation is bilateral. I’m not going to point out the obvious.
If the other parties cannot take responsibility, nothing will change.
I know: My father is one of them.
But even some here would argue that the necessary steps are governmental overreach; I would argue that it’s undoing criminally negligent bureaucratic actions.
@ConservativeMind: In light of your familial experience, you definitely want to keep an eye out for my book.
😂😂🙃
Stories about excess deaths from everything OTHER THAN (so-called) vaccine injury can be expected, hot and heavy, for the forseeable future.
Cant allow the common folk to realize the ACTUAL reason for the mysterious rise in All Cause Mortality, now can we?
“Demand that SUGAR and CORN SYRUP be removed from food. Corporate America is killing generations.”
Take personal responsibility and don’t buy food with added sugar or corn syrup.
“The article has all sorts of talk about Big Government “help” and “PC” concerns.” That said, diabetes has really taken off.”
Now, that’s a load of truth! Wait until the Karens blockade the hospitals and forbid anyone with diabetes to enter the hospital. Or, better yet, mandate everyone should have a BMI of no more than 23. After all, everybody knows they are like the unvaxxed and should not be treated in hospitals or walk around freely in a “well run” society.
Oh boy!
Eat more carbs.
I read his book, excellent.
I’ll be honest though, you need to have strong willpower to maintain his diet, especially if you’ve had a “bad” diet for 50 years before.
Perhaps for some, but not for others. I am 62, 6'2", 215 lb., 36 waist. I exercise at least 30 minutes every day and often 60 to 90 minutes per workout (cardio every day and weights 2x per week). I am not fat. We eat very well (mostly home-cooked meals) because my wife is a Type 1 diabetic. And yet, I must now take meds to keep the blood sugar in check.
