The scientists said that the vaccines would never be able to block all infection. They said that the vaccines would protect from serious infection. When the Delta variant hit, it was more adept at infecting its victims. Once it had infected, it reproduced faster. Because the vaccines were able to rev up the levels of the antibodies they were able to fend off serious infection.

Both Pfizer and Moderna are using the mRNA technology to quickly manufacture vaccines more able to target the Omicron Variant. The speed they can do this has never happened in history. In the mean time, we are seeing the cases in the U.S. dropping like a rock. The vaccines along with natural immunity are working.

You nieces’ family had a benefit from their infection. They got natural immunity. That immunity, coupled with the vaccine’s immunity, is what they call hybrid immunity. It is a very superior immunity to get.
