These days all sites are fear porn. Either side. It’s what sells, and either side eat it up. Both sides believe they are correct. Maybe they are.

Sad state of affairs we fall into these days.

As the following gets posted, some who comment on the "official" data begin their rationalizations that the "trusted' data is always wrong here but right "there."

From one of the "official" sources:

As of 29 January 2022, according to worldometers' "official" data,

( 5,669,541 global Covid deaths "officially" / 7,923,543,454 global population ) x 100 = 0.072 %

Less than one tenth of one percent "officially" Covid dead over two years worldwide, says worldometers' data.

Similar, unspectacular yet simple-to-research and simple-to-calculate conclusions tell one story.

The massive media hype, the politicians' power grabs, and the mRNA pharmaceuticals add up to an economically devastating hoax on the world, the few lining their pockets while the many have been screwed out of their livelihoods and liberty.

Don't trust worldometers? Use one of the others. JHU. IMHE. CDC/FDA. Statista. The general and simple artihmetic tells the same, more or less. This has been a media "event" of building fear.

Among the worst of the "pandemic responses" has come from the NIH / CDC under Fauci and Collins, who happily smeared physicians and scientists who disagreed with their "diktats."

I think it is possible for both sides to be largely wrong. I don’t think it is possible for both sides to be largely correct.

Most data is cr@p. I think the U.K. stuff may be decent.

At least some people get some definite short and medium term benefits from the vaccine. If one is some combination of past one’s third score and/or past one’s 6th to 9th stone (depending on height) one probably ought to consider the short and medium term benefits. Not being dead is a benefit, but the older you are, the more that is a short or medium term benefit, and not a long-term one.

The long term benefits and long term risks are unknown, the short and medium term risks are hard to gauge.

With the unknown (bad information, or people in authority or that one has contact with opting to act on what one perceives as bad information) fear naturally kicks in.

Times are hard But at least it isn’t actually the bubonic plague.
