There’s a plant called Toona sinensis that supposedly tastes like onions and garlic, but it’s not related to them. That might help you get the flavor without the reaction.

(I haven’t had the chance to try it yet, but I’m hoping to. I’m allergic to onions.)

Thank you. I really miss garlic bread- I’ll bet the substitute can be sprinkled on bread to give a similar taste. And also,mightmtaste good in the kimchi if I can make,some myself (I haven’t looked into making kimchi, so not sure if it’s super hard to make or not?)
