Do you remember when Rush used to mercilessly mock the Houston Oilers, plying their fight song at wavering speeds, etc. Earl Campbell was great. I heard a lot about Billy “White Shoes” Johnson and Kenny “Double Zeroes” Burroughs. Dan Pastorini was TOUGH. Fun team at times, never caught a break.
Oh, and Bum Philips would not kneel for ANYbody, save God.
I will never forget Warren Moon throwing for 500+ yards against my Chiefs. The old Oilers were amazing.
