There are so many of these battery breakthrough gamechangers in the works that some have just got to actually reach the market in the not too distant future.
1000 mile ev car that charges in 10 minutes will be a big gamechanger. For the typical person, that’s a charge once a week or longer.
History shows that scarcity (and accompanying high prices) are the biggest driver for development of new techologies. No one would have developed directional drilling or fracking if oil just gushed out of the ground like it did for Jed Clampett. The best way to speed the development of new energy sources and storage mechanisms is to use up all the fossil fuels as soon as possible.
