Mina Kimes took to Twitter on Thursday to respond to yet another online tirade against her – this time from former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia.
The drama began Tuesday, with Kimes effectively saying that 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is along for the ride in the team’s NFC title berth.
“Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t the reason they’re winning,” Kimes said during her appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday. “They’re winning with him, but not because of him … He posted the second-lowest QBR in 15 years [against the Packers].” “Since joining the Niners, he has two touchdowns and five interceptions in the postseason,” she said. “These are not advanced statistics. The dude is just simply not helping them win.”

Although I hope the 49s win this weekend, she’s not wrong.
P.S.
Brady can sign there to finish his career.
Sure. Brady, Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, Bridgewater. Someone.
Idiot woman. Ever hear of Trent Dilfer? Brad Johnson? Jeff Hostetler? How about Mark Ripien?
All Super Bowl champions.
I don’t know what he said that’s sexist. Jeff is a nice guy. But on this Mina is 100% right.
If you have a great supporting cast, you only have to be adequate and avoid mistakes.
Rodgers goes to Tennessee
Who is Jeff Garcia? Never heard from him.
Since Jimmy G came to the Niners, their record has been 7-26 when he wasn’t at QB and 31-14 when he was. While he could certainly do better, especially in the area of interceptions, he is definitely a key factor in their winning. If he could stay healthy and protect the ball a little better, he would be just what any team needed.
Jimmy Garoppolo beat Aaron Rodgers 13-10 who is well on his way to winning NFL MVP for the second consecutive season.
Sounds like she’s just reading stats rather than understanding what’s actually happening on the field. Garoppolo was throwing darts in the game and all of the receivers were dropping them.
Dilfer was not that good. 12 TDS and 11 INTs that year.
Flacco was worse than Johnson and Rypien.
Eli Manning? Hey, he won two Super Bowls, but he is a mediocre QB, that occasionally plays a little better.
He’s good,
....but not good enough.
He had two great passes in the first half that Kittle and Ayiuk or Deebo dropped, but did you see the game? By the second half he wasn’t helping. The offense scored 6 points.
He's a never-was-good-at-qb in the NFL
Who the f*** is Mina Kimes?? Why should I care??
Mullen was much better on deep passes.
Look at Garoppolo's first five games in 2017. The defense and the rest of the team won those games. Yet, Garoppolo got all the credit. In 2019, he occasionally helped, but it was the defense, the offensive line and the running backs won the games.
Look at the Super Bowl. The rest of the 49ers got a 10 point lead late in the game, and Shanahan and Garoppolo teamed up to lose it.
In last year's NFC Championship, Brady's QB rating was 79.3, and Rodgers 101.6. Rodgers outplayed Brady by a lot, but the Bucs were better than the Packers.
Brady threw interceptions on the 3rd to last, 4th to last, and 5th to last drive in that game. Most teams will never come back from that.
