I have heard the rumors about Paxton but have seen no proof. I wonder if true why the Democrats have not pushed it. He has been a good AG, IMO. I haven’t decided but am impressed with her . she might be the best person for the times.
With Paxton facing criminal and ethical charges, including those from former staff, the race has received national attention. Paxton is under indictment for multiple securities relate crimes and is the subject of an ongoing federal investigation into abuse of office and bribery. The state attorney general’s role essentially is that he or she is the state’s top lawyer who both defends and helps enforce the state’s laws, including public information, child support, and other criminal or civil issues important to the people of Texas.

Paxton has former staffers who have made ethics complaints. Not convicted so he may be innocent of the accusations. With the importance of taking back the house it may be a better course to look at the other three Republicans. If Paxton is not guilty he can run for public office in the future. But we HAVE to take the house.
Well anyway I prefer Eva Guzman.
I’ll pass on Guzman. Paxton has a track record of getting in the DC swamps face. Enough of the “orange man bad” syndrome. We need a doer and not a talker.

I don’t see anything to use to vet her with as far as her conservatism or commitment to being a strict constructionist when it comes to constitutional law.
I think she served on the state Supreme Court but I really don’t know anything about her.
Now is the time to scrutinize the backgrounds of all of the candidates carefully.
