While I do completely get it that convention and visitors bureau websites are not always a good portrayal of an area, Montgomery has looked kinda interesting because of its history.

Is the whole city that bad?

Whites have been fleeing out of Montgomery for several decades now. It’s even worse in Jackson, MS, which is now your worst sort of African third-world hellhole with a Black Supremacist Mayor named Chokme Lumumba, Jr.

Yes. I only stopped in the area once. The Kentucky Fried Chicken had no french fries, and no one there seemed to care that the trash bins were over-flowing. It was like a Third World Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I’m in Alabama, but not Montgomery. I would venture to say that, like almost every city in the U.S. these day, if you stay away from the black areas you’ll be okay. Unfortunately, that seems to be increasingly difficult to do.
