What??!! Are you trying to confuse FReepers with actual, pertinent details?
Ok. /s ;-)
I would add that on another thread it was noted that serious Delta can be diagnosed as a LRT (Lower Respiratory Tract) disease*, going after cell receptors in the lungs, while Omicron is primarily a URT (Upper Respiratory Tract) disease. Among other clinical diagnoses. So, it is NOT as if samples have to be sent out to be sequenced to make the diagnosis.
I wish I had the capability to post a GIF of Star Trek's Mr. Worf telling a half-mad Klingon comrade "You fight the wrong battles." And I wouldn't even shoot any of the half-mad 30 seconds later. ;-)
*I personally consider Delta as a 2-stage disease in SOME people.

Last night a close friend told my wife that a long time friend of theirs died during the weekend. Apparently, the man, who died had the Delta version and his wife had the Omicron crud.
He was in the hospital and checked out AMA, and she was at the end of her Omicrud with no fever and just a running nose and staying home.
He was a Marine, and apparently, he did not want to die in the hospital. He had all types of a other bad diseases and was 85+. His death was called due to ____________ fill in the blank.
In this past December, a 50 something son, my wife and I apparently had the Omnicrud with the URT. We were over it in a few days. He received his Moderna booster shot about a week before he got crud for over 10+ days. His crud was worse than our crud.
