If you threw darts at the Yellow Pages you couldn’t do worse than what Trump either appointed or left in office. Just an AG who has a teeny bit of integrity and isn’t deep, deep state, and we have a very different country right now....I know, I know, none of his hires were his fault.
That being said, I think Winston Churchill’s saying somewhat applies to Trump. He’s the worst person we could elect back to office, except for all the others.

Trump’s Cabinet was the best in decades. Pompeo was the best SoS in decades hands down. Alex Azar also for HHS.
Then look at the others.
Energy independence, returning manufacturing, employment, economy in general.
Those things don’t happen without a strong cabinet.
Just the energy independence was unprecedented and arguably the most important thing for a nation.
Could someone please explain to me what it means when someone says “this is unacceptable“? To have that power, shouldn’t they have some kind of veto power? If they don’t accept something, what are their options? If they don’t have veto power, who cares what they find acceptable?

Many of us think his first term was crippled and doomed by poor hiring decisions. There were MANY people at TOP positions who were working for agendas other than the MAGA agenda Trump got elected to implement. Also much of the GOP in Congress was against him yet he endorsed and praised them anyway. Trump basically has a poor understanding of politics and how Washington works. Still.
He is different, some of the people he endorses he shouldn’t.

So you were against energy independence that was achieved, as one example, and think career politicians could have done better?
What I’m opposed to is narcissistic politicians who don’t learn from their mistakes and their obsequious fan boys who are unmatched to the duties of citizenship.

Trump focuses on the ultimate electability of a candidate, coupled with what he believes is his ability to influence these same people.
Unfortunately, when he’s no longer there, they will revert to their norm.
He’s not thinking about that part, but it may not matter when you go to war with the army you were able to pull together and not the army you wished for.
